Codel Services business rules modelling methodology presents an agile OO methodology for modelling business rules.

That approach lends itself to open, bespoke OO solutions. However if a more traditional off the shelf rule-set based approach is required then the approach can be used with some small modifications as is shown here.

The key difference between these two approaches is the end-to-end nature of the Straight-Through-Process is in this case modelled using an activity model, simply because most off the shelf tools treat the STP framework in that way. As we will see this can work well in this case since the complexity of the rules are managed in the rule sets engine.
