Use Case Models
Note use cases are from white-box (or component) perspective, typical
of most enterprise approaches so the level of detail is high. Whilst these
can be a useful way of specifying things, care must be taken. See my paper
on guidance on developing such use cases.
These uses cases are “generic” i.e. written without a specific
organisation in mind, but cover the base needs of most organisations and
will offer a robust yet flexible solution. However each client’s needs
are different, so please contact Codel Services to see how these can be
easily made bespoke to your organisation.
Protect Resources – Log-on and Authentication

Note interaction of audit information is not shown.
This is best managed by enforcing business rules within the use case,
since what information captured and level of logging is best described
there.
