Codel Services Templates: "Structured Analysis made Easy"
The problem
As well of the deployment of code, most IT deliverables
necessitate the need for documentation. Such documentation included the
defining a project scope, defining process reengineering, formalising
acceptance, gathering requirements or setting out a test plan.
Having some standard of documentation, rather than
making one up, is essential to meet these deliverables. Not only does it
make their delivery more efficient, with the advent of SOX, there are
compelling legislative reasons for doing so.
Nowadays there are many sources for getting such
off-the shelf documents, and often these are bundled with a Software
Development Lifecycle (SDLC) tool or package (such as RUP).
However, even in such cases, Codel Services experience
with industry has identified the following areas where the standards of this
documentation are consistently found to be poor even with an SDLC in
place.
The solution
Consequently it is in these areas we feel that any SDLC
you may have could be enhanced by our services:
 | Saves time – allows you to focus on the delivery,
rather than the means of delivery or the policy behind them |
 | High quality – we have considerable experience in
knowing how best to present these deliverables |
 | SOX complaint – allows you not to worry about SOX
for these deliverables |
 | Formal documentation – enforce standards and best
practices, and ensures consistency across your deliverables |
 | Practical – these have been refined and developed
over many years and through practical and real usage |
 | Flexible and Agile – can be used with any
methodology you may have, from RUP to Agile to Prince 2 to none |
 | Right sized - has just the core, mandatory
information to satisfy the above requirements |
 | Impartial – these templates are build from
experience what is deficient in the industry, rather than by any set
agenda or company “politics” |
